The Toliver family has been serving customers for over 75 years in Texas. We are a family that believes in customer service and a hands-on operation.  Brian's grandfather, R.L. Burton, started the business when he bought a gas station in Haskell, Texas in the 1930's; added a new car franchise to the dealership.  Mr. Burton was very involved in the community and continued to run the dealership, until his daughter Nancy Burton married a local farmer and grandson of an early Pioneer family, Bailey Toliver of Haskell County.

Later, Mr. Burton sold his dealership to his son-in-law Bailey Toliver.  Bailey continued the growth of the dealership in Haskell, Texas, until his son, Brian Toliver graduated college and took over the dealership in 1980.  Brian Toliver has to two brothers that are also in the auto business, Joseph Toliver and Sam Toliver.  Brian then bought a dealership in Sweetwater, Texas in 1989 and operated the new store in Sweetwater, then Joseph moved to Ballinger, Texas 1989 to operate the Ballinger location, "Toliver Brothers".  Sam graduated college in 1989 and continues to operate the original dealership in Haskell, Texas, "Bailey Toliver Chevrolet Cadillac," as well as "Big State Auto Auction" in Abilene, Texas.  Bailey Toliver continues to farm and ranch in Haskell County.

Brian Toliver sold Toliver Auto Plaza after owning it for over 17 years in Sweetwater, Texas to Stanley Automotive of Dallas, Texas.  The Brian Toliver family searched all over the state of Texas for a thriving small community, and found an great opportunity in Sulphur Springs, Texas in 2006. We are exicted about the area and people of Northeast Texas.  Currently, Brian Toliver and his two sons, Brent and Jonathan Toliver manage the dealership in Sulphur Springs.  Both Brent and Jonathan are involved in daily sales and service operations at the dealership.
